Sweden Stamps On International Year Of Forests

A Pair Of Postage Stamps To Be Issued By Sverige Post (Sweden Post) to mark the International Year Of Forests 2011on 23rd March 2011.Europa Theme for the year will be forests.

Some of the well known forests of Sweden are Kolmarden,Tiveden,Tylöskog,Norrland,Kilsbergen,Ed Forest.

• Kolmarden is a large forest that separates the Swedish provinces of Södermanland and Östergötland, two of the country's main agricultural areas, from each other
• Tiveden is famous for its natural scenery and throughout history notorious for its wilderness and dangers
• Tylöskog is a deep and extensive forest between the agricultural plains of the counties of Närke and Östergötland in southeast Sweden
• Kilsbergen (Wedge Mountains/Hills) or Lekebergsåsen (Ridge of Lekeberg) is a low mountainous ridge that separates Närke from Värmland
• The Ed Forest is a forest separating the Norwegian county of Hedmark from the Swedish province of Värmland
