Pictures Of Italy Yuri Gagarin Stamp Released To Mark 50yrs Of First Manned Space Flight

 

The 50yrs of Yuri Gagarin’s flight will be celebrated In Italy with a postage stamp release. An Astrophilately Exhibition is planned in Turin.Russian cosmonaut Valery Tokarev and American astronaut Walter Cunningham will be present at the inauguration of the exhibition.

The Stamp depicts in the left foreground, a portrait of Yuri A.Gagarin.on the right, against a background of the universe, you can see the spaceship Vostok 1, which on April 12, 1961 had Yuri Gagarin aboard and for the first time in the history completed orbit around the Earth.

Completing the stamp legends carry the words "50th ANNIVERSARY OF THE FIRST HUMAN SPACE FLIGHT" and "JURIJ A. GAGARIN April 12, 1961.The Stamp has been designed by Giustina Soldier
