Ethiopian Stamps Of Grevy’s Zebra

Grevy’s Zebra is one of the three types Of Zebra with it’s Ears standing straight, arched neck,tensed muscles. When one watches a Grevy's zebra adult male presiding over it’s territory the majesty of this species can be understood. Grevy’s is on the brink of extinction and is on the endangered species list.

In 1882,the emperor Of Ethiopia Menelik II, felt that the zebras were so regal that he presented one as a gift to the President of France, Jules Grévy.Hence the name Grevy's zebra was coined.
Grevy's zebra was among the first of the zebra species to evolve after asses. Grevy’s Zebra are Taller, with narrow stripes,have a white belly, black dorsal stripe, large rounded ears and a brown muzzle. the Grevy's zebra can be easily distinguished from the more common plains zebra.
