Today was the day  the first war of Indian Independence began In Meerut in the year 1857.The Day Sepoys Of British India Company revolted against their commanding officers at Meerut.
The First War Of Indian Independence Of 1857 started as a rebellion of soldiers of the British East India Company's army on 10 May 1857, in the town of Meerut.
The rebellion soon broke out into other mutinies and civilian rebellions,The First War Of Indian Independence posed a major threat to the operations of The British East India Company .The war was contained only with the fall of Gwalior on 20 June 1858.
The War is also known as the Revolt of 1857 or The Sepoy Mutiny.
