| Nurses are in the frontline of health care and are at the foundation of health care.The Trained Nurses Association of India , a national body of practitioners of Nursing at various levels started as Association Of Nursing Superintendents in 1905 at Lucknow with the intent to uphold in every way the dignity and honor of the Nursing profession .TNAI aimed to promote team spirit, apart from enabling the members to represent their grievances and express their concerns.During the Annual Conference held in Bombay in 1908, a decision was taken to establish Trained Nurses’ Association. The Trained Nurses Association was affiliated to Switzerland headquartered International Council Of Nurses since 1912 (discontinued affiliation since 1995 due to lack of funds) and Commonwealth Nurses Federation since 1974. | |||
