Save Tiger Paintings Adore 2011 Children’s Day Release

On the occasion of the Children’s Day Celebration India Post released a set of 2 stamps , one miniature stamp sheet and first day cover featuring 8 different paintings on the theme “Save Tiger” .The  paintings were selected from 700 different paintings during a painting contest held during the INDIPEX 2011 international philately exhibition The Stamp release features paintings of Class V students Sri Raksha of Karnataka, A Priyadarshini of Tamil Nadu, Ashok Purushottam of Kerala, Ria Dutta of Himachal Pradesh Class VI student Rangoli Pandey of UP Class VIII student Jaishree Sahu of Orissa Class IX student Nishi Bodadia of MP Class X student Shubham Sahu of Chandigarh
