New Zealand Post in August released a set of 21 stamps on a sheet which takes you on a journey of “Kiwi” way of counting.

Billy Bowden suffered from Arthritis and it was too painful for him to signal the batsmen out  in game of cricket in a conventional way . A leg-bye in the NatWest Series was greeted thus: "He taps his leg and shakes it. If it was butter it would be milk by now", this was captured in the television commercial ad by a renowned company [featured below] featuring him . Billy Bowden stamped his class in others signals including a "crumb-sweeping" wave of the arm to signal four, and the "double crooked finger six-phase hop" to signal a six [Featured on the stamp]

Some of the other famous Kiwi numbers featured are 1 (State Highway 1) , 3 (three-hour ferry ride across Cook Strait), 4 (four stars of the Southern Cross) and 10 (ten guitars - the popular song of the 1960s). “Ten Guitars” - originally released as a B-side for Engel Bert Humperdinck in 1967 was famous worldwide and still lingers in the ears of the  New Zealand listeners .
